Karen Brooks, MD, closed her private practice in Austin, Texas, on April 30, 2010.
Dr Brooks accepted an offer with a regional hospital and clinic and relocated in May. Dr Brooks sent a letter notifying patients of the change on April 17, 2010. The letter included referrals to local psychiatrists, instructions for release of records, and information on obtaining refills. Unfortunately, Dr Brooks cannot provide refills after the practice closed on April 30, 2010.
